Frequently Asked Questions
General Platform
Neelcamp is a marketplace that helps parents discover and compare afterschool programs and summer camps for their children.
For providers, Neelcamp functions as a SaaS platform where you can:
- Create a business profile
- List one or multiple programs
- Share program details, schedules, pricing, and contact information
- Optionally accept bookings directly through Neelcamp
Parents can search by location, category, and interests to find programs that fit their needs. Providers gain visibility, SEO benefits, and direct access to families actively searching for enrichment opportunities.
Neelcamp currently focuses on the Mid-Atlantic region, specifically:
- Virginia
- Washington, DC
- Maryland
- New York
We are expanding strategically based on parent demand and provider partnerships.
You can list enrichment programs designed for children ages 8–14, including:
- Afterschool programs
- Summer camps
- STEM & STEAM programs
- Arts & creative programs
- Sports & fitness programs
- Academic enrichment
- Language programs
- Leadership & specialty workshops
If your program supports skill development, creativity, academic growth, or structured enrichment for kids, it likely qualifies.
Any organization or business that offers structured enrichment programs for children can become a provider on Neelcamp.
This includes:
- Afterschool program operators
- Summer camp organizers
- Education centers
- STEM/STEAM academies
- Arts studios
- Sports training organizations
- Independent enrichment program providers
Providers should operate legitimate, structured programs for children and maintain a professional presence (website, contact information, etc.) for verification purposes.

Claiming & Ownership
“Claim Business” is a process that allows you to take ownership of a business profile or program listing on Neelcamp that already exists in our system.
When a profile is claimed, the person who owns or represents that business gains full control over editing the details, updating information, and managing program listings.
This process is similar to how Yelp allows business owners to claim and manage their business profiles.
A profile might already exist in our system because:
- Neelcamp manually added the program listing based on demand from parents in your area.
- A program was suggested by users or discovered through research on available children’s enrichment programs.
- A program was created before you had registered as a provider.
In these cases, a profile is generated in a view-only state until the rightful owner claims it.
To claim your existing profile:
- Visit https://neelcamp.com/business/claim-business
- Enter the email address listed on your business’s website (this helps verify that you are the rightful owner)
- Click Continue
- Follow the verification steps sent to your email
Important: Use an email that appears on your official business website — this helps streamline verification and ensures your claim is approved quickly.
Once you successfully claim your business:
- You are granted full control over the profile and any associated listings.
- You can edit business details (name, description, contact info, photos, etc.).
- You can add, update, or remove program listings.
- You can manage bookings (if enabled) and publish or unpublish listings.
After claiming, your profile becomes fully editable in your Provider Dashboard, and you can manage your presence on Neelcamp going forward.
Provider Contact & Communication
Yes. Parents can contact you directly outside of Neelcamp.
If you choose to include your contact information on your profile, parents can reach out to you via email, phone, or your website.
We encourage providers to include clear contact details so families can easily connect and learn more about their programs.
The contact information that will be visible to parents includes:
- Email address
- Phone number (if provided)
- Website URL
This information appears on your provider profile and program listing page.
Here is an example of how a provider profile looks: https://neelcamp.com/provider/moca-arlington-2221
Yes.
You can decide which contact details you want to include on your profile. If you prefer to only display your website, or only your email, you may do so.
You have full control over the contact information shown to parents and can update it at any time from your Provider Dashboard.
Payment & Booking
No. Neelcamp’s payment and enrollment system is completely optional.
You are not required to use our booking tools. If you already have your own registration or payment system, you can continue using it without any changes.
No. There is no cost to use Neelcamp’s payment system.
There is also no cost if you choose to use it. Neelcamp does not charge providers to list programs or enable bookings.
Yes.
If you prefer to manage enrollments and payments through your own website or system, you can opt out of Neelcamp’s booking tools entirely.
You maintain full control over how you accept registrations and payments.
If you use your own payment system:
- Parents can view your program details on Neelcamp.
- They can contact you directly using the contact information you provide.
- You can direct them to your website for registration and payment.
Neelcamp acts as a discovery and visibility platform, while you handle enrollment and payment through your existing system.
Program & Listing Management
You can create one listing and include details about multiple programs.
However, if your programs are significantly different (for example, a STEM camp and an art camp), we recommend creating separate listings for each program.
This helps parents clearly understand each offering and improves discoverability.
Creating separate listings for distinct programs can improve your search visibility.
When each program has its own dedicated page with a clear title, description, and location, it increases the likelihood that:
- Parents searching on Neelcamp will find the exact program they’re looking for.
- Your program appears higher in Google search results for specific keywords (e.g., “robotics summer camp in Virginia”).
Separate listings allow each program to rank independently, which can drive more targeted traffic to your business.
You should select categories that best represent the focus of your program.
Examples include:
- STEM / STEAM
- Arts & Creative Programs
- Sports & Fitness
- Academic Enrichment
- Leadership Programs
- Language Programs
Choose categories that accurately describe your program’s primary offering. This helps parents filter and discover your programs more easily on the platform.
If a program fits multiple categories, select the one that best reflects the main focus to ensure clarity and relevance.
Verification & Safety
Our team reviews your profile to ensure the business is legitimate and accurately represented.
This may include:
- Reviewing your website
- Verifying your email address
- Cross-referencing your Google Business profile (if available)
- Confirming your business details and contact information
If we need additional clarification, we may reach out to you directly by email or phone.
The goal of verification is to maintain trust and quality for parents using the platform.
Verification typically takes a short period of time after your profile and listing are submitted.
In most cases, the review is completed within a few business days. If additional information is required, the timeline may depend on how quickly we receive a response.
No formal documents are required during initial onboarding in most cases.
We primarily verify through:
- Your website
- Public business presence
- Email verification
- Online business listings
If additional information is ever needed, our team will contact you directly.
No. There is no need to provide credit card information when signing up, creating a profile, or adding program listings.
Payment details are only required if you choose to process bookings through Neelcamp.
If we are unable to verify your business, we will contact you to request additional information.
Your listing may remain unpublished until verification is completed. Once the necessary details are provided and confirmed, your profile can be approved.
Our goal is not to reject legitimate providers, but to ensure a safe and trustworthy marketplace for families.
Traffic & Audience
Currently, Neelcamp receives over 300 daily visitors, and this number continues to grow as summer approaches.
Parents actively searching for camps and afterschool programs frequently visit our platform, making it a great opportunity to reach your target audience.
All listings on Neelcamp are SEO-optimized by default. This means your program often ranks higher in search results than your own website—especially if your site is new or has limited traffic.
Being on Neelcamp increases visibility and helps more parents discover your programs.

Reviews & Credibility
Yes! Parents can provide feedback and reviews for your programs, helping other families make informed decisions.
Reviews do not directly affect visibility unless your program is featured on the homepage. They primarily serve as social proof to help parents feel confident in choosing your program.

Providers must comply with Neelcamp’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which govern how your information is collected, used, and shared. This ensures transparency and protects both providers and families.
