The Eaton Hall afternoon study hall serves students in grades six through eight who need to stay at school after the end of the school day at 3:oo PM. We always allow students to stay in the lobby of Eaton Hall or in the courtyard outside of the building between 3:10-3:30 while they are waiting on their rides to arrive or waiting for an afternoon program/practice to begin. However, we know that some parents may need a supervised study hall for their children for a longer period of time in the afternoons before they can be picked up. Likewise, some Eaton Hall students may finish athletic practice at 4:00 PM and need a place to go until their ride arrives later in the afternoon. Eaton Hall students who remain on campus after the end of the academic day need to be in a supervised place, and we want to plan in advance for this need. Any student who has not been picked up by 3:30 PM, and who is not in a supervised after-school program (for example: a sports team or club), will be asked to move to the afternoon study hall room until his/her ride arrives. Students will use this time to complete assignments, read, or do other quiet work. When the weather is nice, the students may be given time to spend time outside after a certain period of quiet time.
