Overview

Our program focuses on three areas that build life skills and foundational leanring: theChef's Club, activites that introduce basic culinary skills; Cooking can help young kids learn and practice some basic math concepts and build language skills. The experience of creating meals can also help build their self‑confidence and lay the foundation for healthy eating habits. When students cook at Red Wagon they:

• Practice literacy skills when reading and learning new recipes
• Develop social skills as they work in groups to create recipes
• Use math skills when they measure ingredients
• Understand chemistry principles through the process of cooking
