Overview

At Hamlin Robinson School, student life extends far beyond the classroom, offering opportunities that nurture curiosity, creativity, and connection. For students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences, activities outside of academics are especially important. They provide spaces to explore strengths, build confidence, and practice collaboration in new ways. Through arts, clubs, and enrichment programs, HRS students discover talents, form lasting friendships, and experience the joy of learning in diverse settings. They also provide opportunities for parents who need care beyond the school day hours. These experiences complement classroom instruction, helping every student grow not only as a learner, but also as a leader, teammate, and community member.

Additional Information

HRS participates in organized athletics, offers a variety of student clubs, and provides before and after school care options. After-School auxiliary programs change quarterly and some options include:

Interest Groups are hobby-based or experience-based spaces. They bring together students who share a common interest, skill, or curiosity—things like activities, games, or unique traits. The goal is to connect students around shared passions and explore new ideas together.

The Social Skills Group is an exciting activity club. This club is provided by Master's level facilitators from the Aspiring Youth Program. Students play fun group games to learn skills including teamwork, conversation initiation, social norms, leadership, and flexibility.
