About This Camp

Overview

The program provides mentorship to help students develop a strong commitment to learning, positive values, and essential social skills. The STEM program equips students with critical skills in computer literacy, coding, robotics, forensic science, and other high-demand areas. STEM professionals and mentors connect students with college and career pathways in STEM fields, offering guidance and serving as role models for achieving professional success. Our programs are designed to:

  • Provide access to cutting-edge technology and tools.
  • Offer mentorship and networking opportunities with STEM professionals.
  • Promote in STEM fields.
  • Prepare students for academic and professional success through personalized guidance and support.

Summer Engineering Scholars Cadet Academy (SESCA) SESCA was designed to help students explore post-graduation opportunities in STEM fields, including workforce development, military careers, and higher education. The program offers interactive sessions on college readiness, workplace skills, and essential life skills. Participants use Microbits to learn coding and design visualization, creating automated systems. Working in teams, cadets apply the engineering design process to solve real-world problems.

After school STEM Mentoring Program This program serves 5th-grade students at Cora Kelly School for Math, Science, and Technology, as well as Jefferson-Houston PreK-8 IB School. It provides hands-on STEM activities and mentorship to inspire interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
