About This Camp

Overview

The Virginia State Drivers Education program for teens consists of two phases:

  • Online Classroom Phase (30 hours) – Students learn essential driving theory and safety regulations from certified educators.
  • In-Car Phase – A minimum of seven 50-minute behind-the-wheel periods and seven 50-minute observation periods. Appointments are scheduled individually, giving each student between 1 hour 45 minutes and 2 hours in the vehicle per session.

A Summer Weekday In-Person Classroom option is available June through August, meeting Monday–Friday the first week and Monday–Thursday the second week. Class times are offered in the mornings (9:15 am–12:45 pm) or evenings (6 pm–9:30 pm). Parents must attend a 90-minute Parent Class prior to their teen's completion of the course.

• In-car lessons only (7 sessions): $375
• Classroom-only training: $450
