Dance Place offers a variety of professional development sessions, special workshops and panel discussions for teacher training. They partner with professional teaching artists, public and charter school classroom teachers, and college/university students to create a framework for dialogue, sharing and networking. On-site professional development sessions are available for teaching artists, led by Dance Place's Education staff and outside professionals. Sessions are open to the public and serve as training for Dance Place's teaching faculty. Dance Place also offers professional development sessions for schools and organizations on integrating dance into the classroom, often partnering with DCPS and DC Charter Schools. Finally, they partner with colleges and universities to create professional development opportunities for students, including workshops, teaching opportunities, and panel discussions.
