Erev Juneteenth returns to the JCCSF for an evening rooted in legacy and love – with food, live performance and a discussion that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States while honoring and celebrating black history and culture through a Jewish lens. Featuring the culinary magic of Chef Michael W. Twitty and the soaring gospel music of Joshua Nelson, the Prince of Kosher Gospel, this Juneteenth will be a night of communal joy and liberation, a gathering in the spirit of resistance and the triumph of the human spirit. Come be fed by the culture and fired up for freedom.
