Grades 4-6
The possible combinations are HUGE! Take a workshop on Engineering Design, Magnets and Electricity, or Static Electricity. Plus join a knowledgeable guide as you tour our exhibits here or at Pavek Museum.
This camp is for campers entering grades 4-6. Two sessions are available for the "Inventors Club" which includes designing and building a unique project in the museum's makerspace. The "Inventors Club" has a morning session from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and an afternoon session from 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The "Inventors Club" is a six-week workshop. The first two weeks will be spent introducing students to a new engineering concept or technology. The remaining four weeks are dedicated to students working on individual projects with Bakken Museum educators' and volunteer mentors' support and guidance. At the end of the six weeks, friends and family are invited to our Big Show, where students present their innovations and share their challenges and wins from the program. "Inventors Club" Dates: Six Saturdays | February 7 – March 14. Cost for "Inventors Club": $260, $225 for household and supporting members. Scholarships available. Other workshops available for grades 4-6 include: "Static Electricity", "Nano, Nano: The Science of the Small", "Magnets and Electricity", "FROGS, VOLTS, AND VINEGAR: ENGINEERING ELECTRICITY FROM PAST TO PRESENT", and "COLOR ME CURIOUS".
