A west side home away from home for ages birth to three. We utilize the Creative Curriculum for birth to age 3 infants and toddlers to offer a nurturing, safe, child-centered environment in which the child leads based upon their natural curiosity. We believe that creating an environment that arouses children's curiosity in conjunction with intentional teaching provides two-year-olds the opportunity to leave our facility with good social skills, language development, potty training, knowledge of basic colors and shapes, and the ability to identify a few alphabet and numbers. To enhance our program, we often bring in puppet shows, petting zoos, and other activities to ensure that our infants and toddlers are exposed to an array of resources that enhance brain development. Our Early Head Start program provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive evidence-based child development and family support services to help families prepare their young children under age five for later school success. Our Prevention Initiative (PI) classrooms adhere to the same level of quality as our Early Head Start classrooms. The goal of PI is to expand access to the Early Head Start (EHS) model as well as other birth to 3 models. The goal is to serve additional children from birth to age 3 and help grantees increase program quality. A major component of our Prevention Initiative Program is "Continuity of Care". This model ensures children and families are consistently engaged in high-quality early learning experiences through stable relationships with caregivers who are sensitive and responsive to a young child's signals and needs. Children remain with the same group and same teacher while in our 0-3 program.
