Our 1-5 day workshops immerse our art students in the creative process while on vacation breaks or weekends, allowing them to explore various art techniques and mediums. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in the visual arts and want to give it a try, or for experienced students who are looking to take a deep dive into a project for a single day, 2 to 3 days, or an entire week. Daily Schedule: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Creative Drawing & Friendship-Building; 10:00 AM - 10:15 AM: Wacky-Snacky Time!; 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM: Formal Painting Lesson; 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Lunchtime; 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Continuation of Formal Painting Lesson; 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Recess (optional). Tuition includes: Blick Bristol Board paper, Liquitex Brand Acrylic paints, water-soluble Oil Paints, Van Gogh Brand Watercolor, 48-color design markers, Princeton paint brushes. Parents are required to submit their child's chosen image and select their painting surface at the time of registration or before bedtime that night prior to the student's start date. The image and surface choice image must be sent to our cell number 415-745-5301 or email it to [email protected]. For a 1 day camp the image must not exceed 20 shapes within the main shape. For 3 to 5-day camp, the image should not exceed 100 large and small shapes within the image. Students have the opportunity to paint a wide range of subjects, from landscapes, favorite stuffed animals and realistic figures to manga characters, animals, portraits, graphic novel-style drawings, landscapes, cherished trinkets, or any combination thereof. Canvas sizes: 11 x 14 inches, 9 x 12 inches, 8 x 10 inch rectangular canvases, and 12 by 12 round and square canvases. Additional surfaces (unpainted wooden skateboard, ukulele, or wooden box) permitted if purchased beforehand. Campers enjoy scheduled snack and lunch breaks.
