About This Camp

Overview

This Virginia DMV-approved Online Driver's Education program consists of at least 30 hours of instruction and covers all topics required by law, including alcohol safety, drug abuse awareness, aggressive driving, distracted driving, pedestrian and bicycle safety, handicapped parking laws, fuel-efficient driving practices, motorcycle awareness, and organ and tissue donation awareness.

Students must be at least 15 years and 6 months old to enroll. The course is best suited for individuals who can work independently and are comfortable using a computer. Upon successful completion, students become eligible to schedule behind-the-wheel driving lessons. A 50-question final exam (80% passing score) is taken in person at the Safe Driving Academy office during posted testing hours (Weekdays 9:00 AM–4:00 PM; Weekends 9:00 AM–12:00 PM).

Additional Information

The program fee is $250. If an online course is canceled after login access has been created, a $50 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. Teens are required to view a 90-minute Parent-Teen video after passing the course.
