Overview

Pre-K (Age 4–5) at Crystal City Children's Center is a year-round classroom designed to prepare children for kindergarten in a nurturing, play-based environment. The program maintains a 10:1 child-to-teacher ratio with a maximum class size of 20 students. Using the Creative Curriculum, teachers develop weekly lesson plans that foster critical thinking, creativity, and confidence through hands-on projects. Social-emotional growth is supported by the Al's Pals curriculum, while progress is observed and documented with the GOLD assessment system.

Children engage in daily learning centers, music, "Funtastic Fitness," Spanish language exposure, and yoga sessions, encouraging physical wellness, linguistic development, and artistic expression. The program emphasizes individuality, self-expression, and learning through play in a safe, supportive environment.
