Our yoga instructors have worked with a variety of ages from infant on up. With preschoolers, the aim is to help students begin building flexibility, strength and coordination and mind-body health as well as self-awareness and self-regulation skills. Infants receive massages, gentle limb stretching, and sensory play. One-year-olds integrate movements with sounds, use finger puppets, and engage in play. Two-year-olds incorporate more complex movements and are introduced to simple storytelling. Three-to five-year-olds develop concentration, discipline, and body awareness through expanded storytelling, simple games, yoga flashcards, and aromatherapy (if no allergy issues).
