At Shrine Mont Camps, the Explorers programs offer campers an unforgettable adventure‑focused summer experience filled with discovery, challenge, friendship, and faith. Designed for campers who love exploring the outdoors and stepping outside their comfort zones, these co‑ed programs combine adventure, leadership, teamwork, worship, and community while creating lifelong memories.

Through outdoor excursions, group experiences, camp traditions, and meaningful connections, campers grow in confidence, independence, leadership, and faith while experiencing the beauty of the mountains and beyond.

An extended adventure experience designed for older campers seeking deeper community, leadership opportunities, outdoor challenges, and unforgettable experiences alongside fellow campers.

Our Mission

Shrine Mont Camps will provide life‑enriching experiences for campers to sense God's love and creation.

​Goal 1: Campers and staff will care for one another in a safe and nurturing environment.​

Goal 2: Staff and chaplains will be highly trained to lead and model the values taught to us by Jesus Christ, that welcome and include all.​

Goal 3: Campers will engage in fun, challenging, and formative experiences that contribute to their growth and development.​

Goal 4: Campers and their families will become more connected, because of their camp experience, to congregations, the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, and wider church communities for continued faith formation and fellowship.
