STEM Matters is a NYC-funded, lottery-based summer program that gives kids a chance to experience summer camp in one of the city's cultural institutions including its gardens, zoos, and the aquarium. Students in grades K-8 can apply for week-long camps while grades 10-12 can join in on multi-week options. Applications for the lottery open at various times of the year, so parents are encouraged to join the mailing list to be notified as soon as an application window opens. MetroCards are available for transportation to and from programs.
