BAC's Summer Arts Camp (or SAC) is a full-day camp that blends artistic exploration with traditional summer camp fun. Campers take a variety of dance, music, theatre, and visual arts classes: every day is a little different! SAC is a space for campers to gain confidence, practice social-emotional learning, and use art as a tool to express themselves. On top of that, it's a whole lot of fun! Ease on down the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City in SAC Session 1: Ticket to Oz! L Frank Baum's classic books have inspired over a century of incredible art. This session will give campers a chance to partake in activities like singing their favorite Glinda & Elphaba tunes, creating their own Ozians, learning to dance in ruby slippers, and beyond. Campers will take daily classes in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts with their age group. They'll enjoy outdoor recreational time in the Courtyard and craft projects to take home with them. Camp will culminate in a free Showcase on the last day of the session, where family & friends will be invited to see the Campers perform in a themed variety show and tour a mini-art gallery displaying their work.
