BAC's Summer Arts Camp (or SAC) is a full-day camp that blends artistic exploration with traditional summer camp fun. Campers take a variety of dance, music, theatre, and visual arts classes: every day is a little different! SAC is a space for campers to gain confidence, practice social-emotional learning, and use art as a tool to express themselves. On top of that, it's a whole lot of fun! Campers will create their own musical masterpiece in SAC Session 3: Show Camp! This five-week session has campers explore every aspect of making a musical: costume designing, learning lines, harmonizing, and more. This year campers will present Disney's Descendants! Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films! Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents' wicked footsteps or learn to be good? Campers will take daily classes in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts with their age group. They'll enjoy outdoor recreational time in the Courtyard and craft projects to take home with them. Camp will culminate in two ticketed performances to a presentation of on Thursday, August 14th and Friday, August 15th. Tickets will be $15, not including fees. Every camper will receive two free tickets to a performance of their choosing.
