During our summer riding camp, riders will receive lessons in both mounted (on the horse) and unmounted activity, arts & crafts, archery, and a variety of other camp games. Mounted activity will focus on safety, balance of the rider, and riding skills including how to communicate with your horse to turn, stop, and move forward. Each rider's skill level will be assessed and lesson activities will be designed to progress each rider. Unmounted activity will focus on safety, horse care, tacking, untacking and tack care. Space is limited to 24 riders a week and is only available for riders 7 years and older. Transportation is NOT provided. Drop off will be 7:30-8:00 a.m. and pickup will be from 3:00-3:30 p.m. Riders participating in horseback riding are encouraged to bring their own ASTM-SEI certified equestrian helmet (not a bike helmet). Helmets will be provided if your rider does not have one. Riders MUST wear closed-toe shoes (boots are recommended).
