Horace Mann's Summer Program will run from June 12 to July 3. Please see individual courses for specific course dates. A small selection of credit-bearing courses in art, physical education, and computer science will be offered. The majority of the courses offered this summer are non-credit-bearing enrichment courses. The day begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. A lunch period from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm separates the day into morning and afternoon sessions. Courses can either be half-day (9:00 am-11:30 am or 12:30 pm-3:00 pm) or full-day (9:00 am-3:00 pm). School will be closed for Juneteenth on Thursday, June 19. Students are expected to be in class on Friday, June 20. Summer Program Applications for all programs are found within the description for each program. Bus service will not be available this summer. Students applying for any programs will need to arrange their own transportation to and from school. School rules, as outlined in the Family Handbook, apply to the Summer Program as well. Students are expected to behave in a mature and responsible manner at all times, respecting each other's desire to learn, play, and develop to their fullest potential. The program director may at any time require a student to leave the program if their conduct is not appropriate or detracts from the goals of the program. A student who is dismissed under such circumstances is not eligible for a tuition refund.
